Leadership 101: Ever wonder why some managers have no turnover, happy staffs and get their projects done on time?  In this new workshop from Bante Design, learn what constitutes a GOOD leader and how you can develop these skills yourself.  We look at the DOs and DON'Ts of leadership, take a page from Napoleon Hill as to what is a successful leader and how you can mentor and develop leadership skills in your staff.

 

The Importance of a Personal Mission Statement:  Mission statements aren’t just for big corporations any more!  Everyone should have a personal statement that describes their life’s purpose to move forward and help with goal setting and sticking to them, and all small businesses to help with marketing their company and why they are different from the rest.  We discuss how to write one and how to use it in marketing our company and ourselves.

 

Polish Your Presentation Skills to Shine: Learn the 4 styles of communication and how to address each style when presenting/talking to them, talking to the "decision-maker" but including all (family/committee) and working a room to maximize exposure of self/company/services

 

The Importance of Small Talk:  Learn the importance of this often overlooked skill.  We discuss how “to work a room” at a company party, when you are solo in a room of strangers and when to leave them wanting more while making a graceful exit to another group.  This workshop is a must for anyone in business or who wants to work on his or her social skills and make more friends and network a new company.

 

Publish Your Passion:  Have brilliant gems of wisdom that need to be shared with the world?  This informative class will help you navigate the world of publishing, how to write a query letter to agents and publishers to get them interested in your project (article or manuscript) and how to market your finished project. 

 

Marketing 101: Marketing Basics for the Entrepreneur or Small Business Owner:  You’ve got the location, the product and an idea that can’t miss…but how do you let the world know that you’re open for business?  This beginning marketing workshop discusses the importance of the often over-looked marketing plan for the self-employed or small business owner.  How and when to advertise, positioning yourself as “an expert” in your field, your own website/domain, when and if you want to use coupons and getting FREE press.  Bring along your ideas and be prepared to discuss.

 

Business Etiquette:  In our ever-changing world of technology, our social skills have declined as we become more and more dependent on our techno-gadgets (laptops, email, IMing, texting, iPods…).  Learn how to properly greet someone or the art of the handshake, proper topics of conversation in a business setting, proper phone etiquette (don’t get me started on this one!), proper email etiquette and table manners at a business dinner.  Bring a personal touch back to your business and impress your boss, your clients and FUTURE clients.
