Workshops for Kids (ages 12-16yrs. old) Designing the Life of Your Dreams...From the Outside In! (Kid’s Version): In this new workshop for kids (age 12 years old and up) we learn about the Laws of Attraction and how what we think affects our confidence, goal-setting and social interactions. Be prepared to learn about what your "stuff" says about you and how to go about purging un-needed, and un-loved items and how they can really be holding you back. Learn some beginning feng shui principles and how to apply this age old science, along with your goals, into creating the path to achieve your dreams. Get ready for an interactive, fun, learning experience with some “art” projects that will act as reminders when self-doubt creeps in. Feng Shui for Kids: Here we talk of the history of feng shui, the bagua board and how to apply the colors and principles to their personal space. Organizing, color, goal-setting and basic space-planning are all discussed in this workshop. Feng shui is made fun, understandable and easy to apply for kids who want to learn more about this 5000 year old design philosophy.
The Laws of Attraction for Teens: Learn the principles of positive thinking and how to attract the things you want in life into your life. Topics discussed are the powers of positive thought, how what/who you surround yourself with affects you, how to set goals/priorities to achieve success and some confidence building skills that will empower you throughout school, a job and life. Designing the Bedroom of Your Dreams-Kid's Version: This new seminar is for the "budding" designer who wants to express themselves (while NOT ruining walls!) in their bedrooms. We talk basic color theory and space-planning and how to "rebel" and make your personal statement through accessories without stressing out and scaring your parents. We also discuss healthy/natural alternatives for kids who have allergies, health issues or are environmentally conscious. (De)Cluttering for Kids: Due to the popularity of Organizing Your Inner Pack Rat for adults, this seminar was developed for the children of "clutter-aholics". Many participants were bringing their kids to seminars as the parents saw their kids copying their pack-rat tendencies. So, this seminar is devoted to the kids! We talk about the WHYS of keeping items past their usefulness or age appropriateness and HOW we can let go and move forward. Basic organizing skills are also discussed to make their spaces more efficient and useful for them and to teach them skills that they will use into adulthood. Adult Workshops (ages 16yrs and up)
New for Fall 2007!!- Unleashing Your Inner DaVinci: Bringing Creativity Back into your Life: Feeling too over-scheduled? Do you wish you had a positive outlet for stress? Have you dabbled in doodling or journaling and would like to take it to the next level? Learn what defines creativity, how to bring creativity back into your life and get over your fear of being creative. Discussions will focus on getting over our fears of being perfect and allowing ourselves to try new activities with the outcome an unknown. Activities and exercises will help those fearful of making a mistake or doing anything that isn't "perfect" to get over it and to have fun trying something new. You may find an undiscovered talent waiting to be let loose. Designing the Bedroom of Your Dreams-Adult Version: Are you not sleeping well at night? Want to bring the romance back? This new workshop can help you with this and more. We discuss color theory and why the colors in your bedroom maybe causing you to lose sleep. Space-planning issues are talked about (are you sleeping in the "death position") and how to correct them. And proper accessorizing of this space is talked about at length to bring about the proper mood for sleeping and romance. Healthy home principles also play a big part in bedroom design to bring about a good night's sleep. Aromatherapy, feng shui and choosing the right fabrics, flooring and furnishings will also be touched on to give you the healthiest and "dreamy-ist" night's sleep you can achieve! Designing the Life of Your Dreams...From the Outside In!: In this new workshop we learn about the Laws of Attraction (finding out what we REALLY want and how to go about asking/receiving it) and making these principles work in our home's decor and design. Be prepared to learn about what your "stuff" says about you and how to go about purging un-needed, and un-loved items and how they can really be holding you back in the past. Get ready for an interactive, fun, learning experience. This class will concentrate on Bedroom design as we spend most of our time in this "personal sanctuary". We will also apply beginning feng shui and healthy home principles in the creation of "our life's dreams". **This workshop can also be a 4 part series where the subjects are discussed more in-depth. The 1st part is an in-depth discussion on the Laws of Attraction, goal-setting and defining what we really want to bring into our life. Part 2 is beginning Feng Shui (Move Your Couch Change Your Life, Part 3 is clutter and purging in-depth. We talk about the mental and emotional aspects of clutter and where our clutter gathers says A LOT about our life and where we’re going. Finally, in Part 4 we discuss healthy home principles: how to detox our homes and lifestyle. We put it all together in discussing how to design the bedroom (the most important room of the house) of our dreams. Adobes, Bungalows, and Colonials- the ABCs of Architecture Styles- go through the history of architectural styles starting with adobes to current and eco-friendly homes (straw bale) in this pictorial journey. Applicable furniture styles will also be discussed.
Move your Couch, Change Your Life- This beginning feng shui workshop discusses the history of this ancient Chinese science, the 3 schools of thought, and the Bagua board and its uses. After this workshop you will have a basic understanding of the 9 Life Areas (Career, Knowledge, Family, Abundance, Success, Relationships, Creativity, Helpful People/Travel and Health) where they are in your space and how to improve upon them using color and the 5 elements, the “evils” of clutter and how to purge excess baggage and DeAnna’s top ten feng shui tips for your home/office. I Moved My Couch, Now What? - The next installment which discusses the importance of bringing in all 5 elements into your home, your auspicious directions for proper space planning and how to incorporate this into your décor. Fashionably Feng Shui- feng shui fashion tips from hair to clothing…what to wear to the job interview or out on the town. We go through the 9 Life Areas of the Bagua board and find out how to use this tool in dressing for the occasion. Learn how to make color, shape and the 5 elements work in your favor and really dress for success! Take Down the Dead Animal Heads-the Feng Shui of Buying and Selling Real Estate. How to stage and sell your home and find the house that is a perfect fit for you and your family! Look at what a difference landscaping, floor plans and location can really make on the price of a house and it’s desirability in today’s housing market. We also learn basic feng shui principles and how this ancient art can help us from making a costly mistake in purchasing the wrong house, or use it to our benefit in getting the best price possible in selling our current home.

Learn how to use color, space planning and proper accessorizing to create the perfect ambience for that "special night" or for a more permanent change to your room to bring more romance into your everyday life. Top 10 Design Tips for Everyone and Every Space-Use feng shui and sustainable design tips to create a healthy, balanced space that anyone can apply to their space. Clutter, de-toxing your space, creating personal sanctuaries are all discussed plus much more! Organizing Your Inner Pack Rat-Here we discuss the psychology of clutter, how to purge and what to do with all that “stuff”. What to do with out-dated clothes, paper clutter, toys...and how to distinguish between a "collection" and junk. Healthy Design for Companion Animals-how to design/create a space that is beautiful and comfortable and, most importantly, healthy for you and your pets. Space-planning, fabric and finish selections and paint and carpet choices are all discussed. We also talk about the needs of the elderly pet. Healthy Nursery and Children’s Room Design- Here we discuss fabric and finish choices that are safe and healthy for baby’s first room. Fabric and finish selections, paint and flooring choices, as well as space planning are also discussed. We will also talk about safety concerns and what to do to “child-proof” their space. Feng Shui for the Garden- In this workshop we learn about the history and the 3 schools of thought regarding feng shui and how we can apply them to our outdoor living space. Color, the 5 elements and layout of the garden are all areas discussed. After this class you will be able to create a space even Mother Nature will approve of. Designing the Business of Your Dreams Workshops (These seminars can be combined for a ½ day or a full day of workshops tailored to your company's needs OR select Designing the Business of Your Dreams workshop for a 4hr overview of: the Importance of Small Talk, the Importance of a Personal Mission Statement, Marketing 101, Business Etiquette, Public Speaking 101 and FS Fashion) The Importance of a Personal Mission Statement: Mission statements aren’t just for big corporations any more! This beginning marketing workshop discusses the importance of the often over-looked marketing plan for the self-employed or small business owner. How and when to advertise, positioning yourself as “an expert” in your field, your own website/domain, when and if you want to use coupons and getting FREE press. Bring along your ideas and be prepared to discuss. Feng Shui for the Office: Feel scattered and overwhelmed at work? Are your "piles" taking over all your vertical space? This seminar is for you. Public Speaking 101- Learn tips on how to overcome one of our greatest fears-speaking in public!
