All About DeAnna

Due to the popularity of her workshops at Alverno College and at various other centers and businesses, DeAnna has become a nationally recognized speaker on a variety of topics ranging from healthy home design, color therapy/theory, designing for companion animals, healthy nursery and children's rooms for adults and children, to her successful series of business workshops from the Designing the Business of Your Dreams series.   She has created her own Top 10 Design Tips that incorporate feng shui and healthy home design advice in an easy-to-apply way that anyone can use in their home or office. (Visit the Bante Design website for a list of all workshops and appearances www.bantedesign.com).  She describes her approach to design, and life, as Integrative Lifestyle Design, meaning a fusion of Eastern and Western design and lifestyle philosophies (feng shui, color theory, accessorizing and space planning) to create a supportive and balanced retreat.

 “Designing spaces that are not only beautiful and comfortable, but also bring out the client’s personality” is her design philosophy.

 Ms Radaj has a BS in Marketing from Marquette University (with a double minor in psychology and political science-GO MARQUETTE!) and an Interior Design degree from MATC in Milwaukee.  Her 15+ years as Operations and Marketing Director for the Nature of Things Stores has led her to numerous design challenges in the development of store spaces of a variety of sizes, custom product development and merchandising strategies.  She has been a trainer on the subjects of coaching employees, sales, merchandising and marketing/PR.  Ms Radaj has designed retail spaces as well as consulted on numerous residential projects, specializing in bedrooms and nurseries.

 Ms. Radaj has been featured in M magazine, MKE, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Milwaukee Home magazine.  She was part of the 2004 WI Breast Cancer Show house and was a featured presenter at the 2006 Snowmass Village Wellness Weekend, the NARI Home and Remodeling Show and the Midwest Home Expo in Chicago.   Ms Radaj is a free-lance writer, was the editor of the WI ASID newsletter (which featured her column “The Business of Design” and is still a contributor) and author of “Designing the Life of Your Dreams from the Outside In” (7/06) and "Feng Shui for Teens" (4/07).

 Ms Radaj is an avid adventure traveler and is an exhibited nature photographer.  She currently resides in Milwaukee (between adventures) with her two dogs that keep her from taking herself too seriously.
